Kevin G. Thurman is a proud native of Eastern Harnett County! The son of a public educator and a Vietnam veteran, Kevin attended Harnett County public schools , from Harnett Primary to Triton High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University, and obtained his Master of Public Administration at North Carolina Central University.

Kevin's work experiences at Research Triangle Institute and Blue Cross NC have prepared him in navigating administrative governmental policies and in brainstorming solutions for improving the healthcare system.

Kevin is a member of Mt. Pisgah Harnett OFWB Church, Inc., where he is the Vice President of the Mighty Men's Prayer Ministry, a member of the Audit & Budget Ministry, and is the saxophonist for the Music Ministry.
